What’s On In Guernsey This Summer?

From carnivals to concerts, there is a whole host of unmissable events happening in Guernsey this summer! Whether you are travelling as a family or a couple, you will find plenty of great things going on once you arrive on our beautiful isle.

Below, we have picked out some of our favourites, so you can plan your campervan holiday in Guernsey around them.

Live Music

Lovers of live music will be spoilt in Guernsey this summer, as our islands play host to a range of fantastic music events. Outdoor concerts take place every Saturday and Sunday in the Market Square and Candie Gardens, while the Balcony Gigs at Cobo Bay are always a huge hit, attracting crowds to the island’s beautiful west coast to enjoy local bands and visiting tribute acts – check the Cobo Bay Hotel Facebook Page for details.

Rocquaine Regatta

A fun-filled day for all ages, the Rocquaine Regatta is another long-standing annual tradition in Guernsey. The event takes place on 29th July at Rocquaine Bay in the island’s west, and features boat races, competitions, live entertainment and an evening beach barbecue! Be sure to stick around until the evening, as Guernsey’s west coast is home to some of the most spectacular sunsets around!

Herm Real Ale & Cider Festival

Taking place twice this summer, on 13th-18th June and 12th-17th September, the Real Ale & Cider Festival at Herm Island’s Mermaid Tavern is always a highlight of the summer! Just a short boat trip from St Peter Port is the stunning island of Herm, which is home to unforgettable views and golden sandy beaches. Sample over 60 fantastic real ales and ciders and soak up the atmosphere, with live music most nights.

Battle of Flowers

The two-day North Show at Saumarez Park is one of the island’s best-attended annual events, with live entertainment, market stalls, fairground rides and much more. It is also home to the Battle of Flowers, where dozens of colourful floats hand-decorated with paper flowers parade around the park. Taking place on the 23rd and 24th August, the show concludes with a firework display and is always a fantastic family day out!
